The Journey Begins

Thanks for joining me! My name is Shawn and I am an aspiring writer based in Austin, Texas for most of the year.  I’m also First Mate aboard a sailing vessel in the Great Lakes for dedicated periods.  I decided to start a blog to share stories about my travel, life experiences and interests.  Readers can expect to enjoy light literary journeys as well as gain an understanding of people as I find them on the streets, in the home, and on the open waterways.  I hope you’ll enjoy!
